Pick and place for SMD/SMT prototypes
Tools for placing SMD parts by hand on prototype and short-run PCBs. Start with the MTI manual SMD/SMT tape feeder: it clips onto 35 mm DIN rail, is only 2 mm wider than its tape, and one press advances the tape and peels the cover tape. It works with tweezers, vacuum pens and manual or home-built pick-and-place setups. Extension kits take it from 8 mm to 12, 16, 24 and 32 mm tape. For a complete benchtop station, the SMT Caddy Model A manual pick-and-place system (uses its own Model A feeders; the MTI does not fit Model A).
